Where It All Began
I gave my life to the Lord when I was 14, and my life was profoundly and forever changed. In my early 20’s the Lord led me to a position with a well-known entertainer (movie producer, actor, singer). Although a secular entertainer, he had a strong desire to witness to his fans. I was involved in helping him with that calling through running his fan club, mastering his website, managing merchandise, and meeting and talking with fans.
It was during those years that I gained my skills in graphic design, writing, web development, and marketing. I loved every minute of it, and those skills became a part of every job and many volunteer activities thereafter.
I went back to college in 2017 to advance my skills and to obtain my degrees. I wanted to be able to manage all aspects of marketing and web development, so I focused my associates degree in graphic design and my bachelors in digital media and web development, taking the harder coding focus. For my minor I started out in Cyber Security and switched to Marketing when the university opened up a certificate program in Digital Marketing which was offered in conjunction with Facebook and Google corporations. The switch in minors gave me some basic skills in computer systems and cyber security in addition to a wealth of expertise in marketing. (Google even taught me how to beat their own search algorithms for SEO!)
Getting to This Point
Back in my teen years, I had two dreams. I wanted to be a graphic designer, and I wanted to win souls for Christ. Back then, I didn’t envision how those two things could synergize. Coming from a small church, I thought I needed to be in the pulpit to teach about Christ. But the Lord had other plans. The Lord often gives us the desires of our hearts. Or maybe it is that He puts a desire in our hearts and leads us to it. I’ve spent many years writing and designing websites; flyers; print media; and the like, the body language of the written word. And, as I look back now, I can see that teenage dream unfold in a long trail of designs and digital constructions that point to Him. It makes me marvel at our awesome God Who can use any of us with our unique talents, skills, and personality to make something beautiful for His Kingdom.
A Job at Liberty University
A job at Liberty University would be a beautiful new chapter in my dream. I have many skills and talents, but I would be vein to claim are the best. So, instead what I will say is that my skills and expertise come from the Lord, Jesus Christ. He has given me my abilities.
I ask that you seek the Lord’s will in hiring me. He knows me and he know’s Liberty’s needs.
